We are leading manufactures and pioneers in the manufacture of Submersible Dewatering, Non-Clog Sludge, Sewage and Non- Submersible Portable Fire Fighting Pumps for use in various applications and duty points and have about five decades experience in the field. The company is ISO 9001-2000 certified and has ultra modern manufacturing plant located in Thane, Maharashtra State which is well equipped with all modern machines like CNC Mchines, digitally controlled dynamic balancing machines and digital performance testing facility. The pumps are regularly and rigorous inspected by the client's inspection Agencies. Some of the leading inspection agencies that have visited our Works for inspection are EIL, Lioyds Registrar of Shipping, NTPC, IRS, RITES, BARC, CQAE, TCE, MECON etc.

  
   

The company has so far supplied pumps in all the industrial Segments including the Thermal & Nuclear Power Plants. To name a few in power sectors (NTPC, NHPC, TAPP, BARC, NPCIL, State Electricity Boards), Indian Navy for various locations, Shipbuilding Industry (GRSE, GSL, MDL, HSL), Steel Industry (SAIL, TISCO), Mining Sector (WCL, SECL), PHE dept, in Utility (by Municipal Corporations) and the Cement Industry (Larsen & Toubro, Prisum Cement, Grasim Cement, ACC Wadi, Indo Rama, Gajambhuja Cement etc.,) and all leading Construction companies to list a few:

Mody Pumps are also exported in the United States of America in large numbers each month where they are being utilized in various applications. Mody had begun its exports way back in mid 90's and thereafter their has been no stoppage. Till the beginning of year 2005, Mody is Shipping apprx 40% of its production units in USA and from U.S.A. it is distributed to major European and Gulf countries through our Sole Distributor : Mody Pumps Inc., 2166, Zeus Court , Bakersfield, CA 93308, U.S.A.

  
   
A brief description about the products manufactured by us is as under :  

Dewatering and Drainage Series
Mody Dewatering Submersible Pumps available from 1.5 HP to 50 HP with flow ranging from 50 LPM to 8500 LPM and discharge heads from 2 mtrs to 85 mtrs. The pumps are equipped with double mechanical seals and are light weight and are available in choice of Aluminium / Stainless Steel construction with provisions of built in monitoring features such as thermal switches, seal probe and also inbuilt contactors. The pumps are being utilized at construction sites, mines, power stations, steel plants, aqua culture industry and marine industry.

Non-Clog Series
Mody Non-Clog portable submersible pump available from 6 HP to 10 HP with solid handling capacity upto 60mm in Aluminium / Cast Iron constructions with Vortex style, recessed impellers ideal for corrosive / abrasive application, concrete and waste water treatment industries. Also the pumps are provided with built in automatic ON/OFF/ON thermal switch.

Sewage Series
 Mody Submersible Sewage pumps are especially designed for the pumping of raw unscreened sewage and effluent, storm water as well as raw and wastewater containing large solid objects. These pumps are available from 2HP to 20HP with solid handling capacity upped 100mm. They are available in Cast Iron construction with the impellers of different material and designs to suit the application. The Electric pumps are available in semi permanent wet pit / portable / fixed dry installations.

Portable Fire-Fighting (Non-submersible) Series
Non-submersible self-priming / portable pumps are available in motor / engine driven versions especially designed for fire fighting and salvage operations. The complete equipment is mounted on a tubular wrap-around frame with spring loaded handles and can be conveniently carried by two people to the site of operation. The engine driven model is also manufactured to the specifications as laid in IS 942 (latest amendment).

Swimming Pool Cleaners
Swimming pool Cleaners are available in 1.5 HP and 2 HP models depending on the size of the pool. The pool cleaner incorporates an electric submersible pump connected to a wide suction nozzle fitted with spring actuated brushes to remove muck accumulated on the floor and walls of the pool.

 

 

  

Future Development Plans

  

Mody Industry is now planning to increase their range of products in next couple of years time. In dewartering pumps we are planning to increase our range from existing 50 Horse Power to 120 Horse Power, in Sewage from existing 20 Horse Power to 80 Horse Power. Also we are planning to manufacture these pumps in Flame Proof Version too.
